Choice

For my choice project, I chose to create a new piece. I wrote a personal narrative describing a time I caught a wave by myself while surfing. I describe the anticipation, disappointment, and eventual confidence I gain from the event. I chose to write a personal narrative because, as I explain throughout my portfolio, it is one of my strengths and a way to express my favorite aspects of writing. It connects to the rest of my portfolio by displaying my creative choices in vivid detail and word choice. Also, I mention personal narratives many times in my portfolio, so I found it fitting to include one of my own. I found this personal narrative to go over extremely well. I portray a scene that I feel many will find interesting, and I include the purpose of telling the event.
